Stuart Pimm is the Doris Duke Professor of Conservation, at the Nicholas School of the Environment, Duke University, North Carolina. He studies how species are now going extinct and what can be done to prevent extinctions. He works in Africa, China, and South America, and directs the non-profit SavingSpecies.
