The course is based on the book &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/eu.wiley.com\/WileyCDA\/WileyTitle\/productCd-0470582472.html\">Applied Logistic Regression&#8221;<\/a> and will be facilitated by Professor <a href=\"http:\/\/gids.bmi.ohio-state.edu\/?q=lemeshow.1\">Stanley Lemeshow<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/cph.osu.edu\/\">College of Public Health, Ohio State University<\/a>) and Dr. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fotres.ch\/index.cfm?newlang=en&amp;content=8010&amp;spr=en&amp;CFID=20019088&amp;CFToken=976e921c1e5588f7-6F1FCE77-13D4-FEFB-5E25AC897505599F\">Astrid Rossegger<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fotres.ch\/index.cfm?newlang=en&amp;content=home&amp;spr=en&amp;CFID=20019088&amp;CFToken=976e921c1e5588f7-6F1FCE77-13D4-FEFB-5E25AC897505599F\">Department of Justice, Psychiatric\/Psychological Service<\/a>, Canton of Z\u00fcrich, Switzerland).<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the course, the participants will:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; master methods of statistical modeling when the response variable is nominal, multinomial or ordinal scale<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; be confident users of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stata.com\/\">STATA <\/a>for computing binary, multinomial, ordinal and conditional logistic regression models.<\/p>\n<p>The course will be held at the Institute of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ispm.ch\">Social and Preventive Medicine<\/a> in Bern on<strong> 7-9 May 2014.<\/strong> Participants are required to bring their own laptop; the STATA software will be installed on the first day of the course.<\/p>\n<p>As the amount of places is limited, make sure you register online <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ispm-unibasel.ch\/ssphplus\/spip.php?page=phd_intranet_light&amp;lang=en&amp;id_course=167&amp;var_mode=recalcul\">here <\/a>by 7th April 2014.
