Moreover, climate change might also impact health through the effects of human migration and socioeconomic disruption. The authors of a <a href=\"http:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007\/s00038-013-0499-5\">recently published paper<\/a> aimed to develop a list of key human health indicators for quantifying the health impacts of climate change in Canada. The paper is available to download for free (<a href=\"http:\/\/link.springer.com\/content\/pdf\/10.1007%2Fs00038-013-0499-5.pdf\">pdf <\/a>and <a href=\"http:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007\/s00038-013-0499-5\/fulltext.html\">html<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>A literature review was conducted, which identified 496 articles and 77 health indicators. After evaluation of these indicators using chosen criteria, eight of them were selected as the best for use:<\/p>\n<p>1. Excess daily all-cause mortality due to heat<\/p>\n<p>2. Premature deaths due to air pollution<\/p>\n<p>3. Preventable deaths from climate change<\/p>\n<p>4. Disability-adjusted life years lost from climate change<\/p>\n<p>5. Daily all cause mortality<\/p>\n<p>6. Daily non-accidental mortality<\/p>\n<p>7. West Nile Disease incidence<\/p>\n<p>8.
