{"id":614,"date":"2012-12-03T15:49:40","date_gmt":"2012-12-03T15:49:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ijph.blogs.springer.com\/?p=614"},"modified":"2012-12-03T15:49:40","modified_gmt":"2012-12-03T15:49:40","slug":"world-aids-day-read-relevant-ijph-articles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.springer.com\/ijph\/international-journal-of-public-health\/world-aids-day-read-relevant-ijph-articles\/","title":{"rendered":"World AIDS day- read relevant IJPH articles!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Saturday, December 1st was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldaidsday.org\/\">World AIDS Day<\/a>, so we thought it would be a good idea to share some HIV related articles that we have published, coming from Europe, South America, India<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.springerlink.com\/content\/h2j25x67l361n63w\/\">The study<\/a> by Ann Defraye and colleagues underines the importance of regular STI screening amongst persons with HIV and identified a high proportion of HIV positive men who have sex with men and acquired an STI.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Sonia Dias and colleagues explored the f<a href=\"http:\/\/www.springerlink.com\/content\/2845004757108606\/\">actors associated with HIV testing<\/a> among immigrants in Portugal<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; In <a href=\"http:\/\/www.springerlink.com\/content\/17347q347uth5221\/\">this study<\/a> from Guatemala, Joanna Barczyk and colleagues report on a case study of\u00a0 a multilevel intervention.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The study by Setia and colleagues<a href=\"http:\/\/www.springerlink.com\/content\/d15p4u7074227955\/\"> compared the sexual behaviours of married and unmarried men who have sex with men<\/a>, to identify intervention groups for HIV prevention.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Baliunas and colleagues performed<a href=\"http:\/\/www.springerlink.com\/content\/8217q23l46325613\/\"> a meta-analysis <\/a>on alcohol consumption and risk of HIV infection. We also published <a href=\"http:\/\/www.springerlink.com\/content\/dv48w034v393m813\/\">a commentary<\/a> on this subject by Howe and colleagues.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Benjamin Clark explored the <a title=\"Link to Article\" href=\"http:\/\/www.springerlink.com\/content\/a5430756g5j46221\/\">multilateral, regional, and national determinants of policy adoption in the case of HIV\/AIDS legislative action<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We hope you find these articles useful!
