The course will be facilitated by Professor <a href=\"http:\/\/pure.au.dk\/portal\/en\/persons\/timothy-lash%28bcfc3bc1-2d69-4413-8fad-149684c745f1%29.html\">Timothy Lash <\/a>from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.au.dk\/en\/about\/profile\/publications\/aarhusuniversitet0708\/au0708\/contents\/collaboration\/hospital\/\">Aarhus University Hospital<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wfu.edu\/\"> Wake Forest University <\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This course offers a brief introduction to probability theory, a discussion of tools used to characterise the precision of epidemiologic results (p values, confidence intervals, likelihoods etc), a comparison of Bayesian and frequentist methods and a discussion on the difference between causal and statistical inference.<\/p>\n<p>The course requires basic knowledge of epidemiological research.
