Recommended Public Health blogs!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Every blogger or blog follower has a ritual of always checking a few blogs no matter what! Some people prefer to do it via a feed reader but I am doing it the old-fashioned way: bookmark the page and go and check it from time to time. I guess I like the excitement of wating to see whether my favourite blogs have been updated or not!<\/p>\n<p>Today I thought I&#8217;d share some of my favourite Public Health blogs! Ready? This list is by no means extensive and it will be updated&#8230;Here we go!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/pop-health.blogspot.com\/\">Pop Health <\/a>: highly recommendable blog, brilliantly combining Public and Popular Health! If it sounds like fun, it&#8217;s because it is! Leah Roman, who writes the blog,\u00a0 a holder of a Master in Public Health and a designation as a Master Certified Health Education Specialist, clearly knows her field and always provides numerous links to her posts.<\/li>\n<li>CDC&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.cdc.gov\/publichealthmatters\/\">Public Health Matters Blog<\/a>: The<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/phpr\"> Office of Public Health Preparedness and Response<\/a> of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/\">Centers of Disease Control and Prevention<\/a> share with us their first-hand experiences of dealing with crises. Always accompanied by photos and many times with a witty sense of humour, I can only recommed this blog! Do not forget to read their hilarious <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.cdc.gov\/publichealthmatters\/2011\/05\/preparedness-101-zombie-apocalypse\/\">Zombie Apocalypse<\/a> scenario, which caused a sensation in the virtual -and not only-world.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/publichealth2point0.com\/\">Public Health Science Communication 2.0<\/a>: I recently discovered this gem and I spend quite some time going through the posts! Nina Bjerglund, who holds a Master in Public Health and a degree in Journalism, explores social media and communication of research in public health. She surely does her research very well, making her posts valuable sources of information when it comes to public health science communicaton!
