So I thought I&#8217;d give you a new list of summer\/heat\/climate related to add to your summer reading. Random fact: this single post can be considered part of all\u00a0&#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.springer.com\/ijph\/category\/public-health-bundle\/\">public health in a bundle<\/a>&#8220;, &#8220;on this month&#8221; and &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.springer.com\/ijph\/current-debate\/public-health-and-refugee\/\">Tuesday&#8217;s list<\/a>&#8221; categories. This makes\u00a0me feel accomplished <em>and<\/em> redundant at the same time.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway! Back to our collection of papers!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007\/s00038-012-0422-5\">Health co-benefits and risks of public health adaptation strategies to climate change: a review of current literature<\/a>. In this Open Access paper, Cheng and Berry reviewed the literature and found limited available data. They discuss, nevertheless,\u00a0\u00a0health co-benefits and related risks from increases in social capital, and changes in urban design strategies.<\/li>\n<li>The year following the publication of the article above, the same authors<a href=\"http:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007\/s00038-013-0499-5\"> published another Open Access paper that describes the development of 77 indicators<\/a> for quantifying the impact of climate change on Canadians.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007\/s00038-013-0465-2\">In a systematic review<\/a>,\u00a0Toloo and colleagues discuss the effectiveness of heat warning systems in saving lives and reducing harm.<\/li>\n<li>In 2014 we published <a href=\"http:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007\/s00038-014-0611-5\">a paper that analysed the temperature variation<\/a> between neighbouring days and found that it has a significant impact on mortality.<\/li>\n<li>In 2015 we published two Editorials addressing how climate change can provide different challenges and opportunities for <a href=\"http:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007\/s00038-015-0722-7\">public health professionals<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007\/s00038-015-0709-4\">health promotion practitioners<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Our list concludes with a paper that examined <a href=\"http:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007\/s00038-015-0759-7\">climate-driven migration in Tanzania<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If you read any of the above papers let us know what you think!
