The International Journal of Public Health (IJPH) (Impact Factor 2011: 2.539) invites submissions of systematic REVIEWS on internationally relevant public health topics related to issues also of relevance at the Conference Environment and Health 2013 in Basel (Switzerland).– the joint annual conferences of ISEE, ISES, and ISIAQ (19th to 23rd August 2013). Successful submissions will be accepted (“online first”) no later than the opening of the conference.
IJPH will award the best among all accepted reviews. This “Best Review” TRAVEL AWARD will also include conference fees and local expenses and the publishing as “open access”.
SUBMISSION: All IJPH author’s guidelines and usual peer-review rules apply. To facilitate the process, the Editors-in-Chief will make a pre-decision: Please send an email to Nino Künzli (Nino.Kuenzli [a] unibas.ch) with the SUBJECT TITLE “Call for Review IJPH” containing at least the tentative title and key authors / institution, a brief description of the topic, a sentence why your review is timely, and a methods statement (namely whether you submit a systematic review and if not, please explain how it will be selective (e.g. “last 5 years only”) and why.)
Please note that passing the pre-decision is no guarantee for acceptance of the peer-reviewed manuscript.
DEADLINE: Eligibility to participate in the AWARD competition can be guaranteed only for submissions received before March 1st 2013. Manuscripts received between April 2nd and June 30th 2013 will still be considered within this call. However, those manuscripts will not participate in the Award nor can the above online publication date (if accepted) be guaranteed.
